Built as a contractor, not a side job
Coastal Corp started in 1975 as a heavy-equipment commercial contractor — excavation, site work, and construction for Rhode Island's builders and property owners. Snow and ice management grew from that same foundation: the same owned fleet, the same crews, and the same standard, turned loose on the region's most demanding commercial properties when the forecast turns.
Now second-generation, we still run the business the way it was built — as a contractor. We own our equipment instead of renting it, we staff for the storm instead of moonlighting through it, and we document every job so our clients and their insurers have the paper trail they need.
