About Coastal Corp — Second Generation

Fifty years.
One standard.

Fifty years of family work in the trade, now second generation — a commercial contractor built on owned iron, round-the-clock reliability, and relationships that outlast the storm.

Our story

Built as a contractor, not a side job

This family's work in Rhode Island goes back to the mid-1970s, under earlier company names — heavy-equipment excavation, site work, and construction for the state's builders and property owners. Coastal Corp was incorporated in 1998, and the crews, the equipment, and the accounts carried across. One account has been on the books since 1975 — carried across three company names. Snow and ice management grew from that same foundation: the same owned fleet, the same crews, and the same standard, turned loose on the region's most demanding commercial properties when the forecast turns.

Now second-generation, we still run the business the way it was built — as a contractor. We own our equipment instead of renting it, we staff for the storm instead of moonlighting through it, and we document every job so our clients and their insurers have the paper trail they need.

That's why the same grocery operators, real estate holding companies, and industrial operators have trusted us for decades. When a property can't afford to close, it calls the contractor that has never let it down.

Fifty years in the trade
Same accounts.
Same standard.
We don't fail.

From grocery locations for four different chains and regional real estate holding companies to a regional auto dealership group, relationships that started decades ago are still on the books today — because reliability, not marketing, is what keeps them there.
