Snow Hauling and Relocation for Commercial Sites

Every storm leaves snow that has to go somewhere. Coastal Corp plans where it goes at the site walk, moves it with loaders when piles take parking or sight lines, and hauls it off-site when the property runs out of room. It's for commercial properties across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts where space is tight.

What's included

Stack it, move it, or haul it away

Where the snow goes is decided before winter. What happens to it during the season depends on how much room the site has left. It comes up most on properties where every space counts, such as retail plazas, multifamily and HOA properties and auto dealerships.

  • Stacking

Snow pushed to the stacking zones mapped at the site walk, so the piles land where the plan says.

  • Loader relocation

When piles take parking spaces or block sight lines, loaders move them out of the way.

  • Off-site haul-away

When the site runs out of room, snow is loaded into trucks and hauled off the property.

How we run it

Loaders and trucks we own

Relocation and haul-away are loader work. We own our equipment, 25+ machines and 15+ plow trucks, so the heavy work happens when your site needs it, not when a rental yard has a machine free.

Piles that block sight lines at entrances are a safety problem as much as a parking one, and piles that creep into drive lanes and dock approaches slow the whole site down. Storm operations run 24/7, so loading out can happen when the lot is empty rather than when it's full.

Moving material is what a construction company does. The same fleet does our excavation and site work the rest of the year, and it's the reason our snow operation runs like a contractor's: because it is one.

How it fits the contract

Planned at the site walk, documented after

Hauling starts with the stacking plan. At the site walk we map surfaces, priorities and snow-stacking zones. Triggers, service levels and routes are documented and agreed in your snow plan and contract before winter.

Season operations follow the plan: equipment rolls on your trigger. Relocation and haul-away are documented with the rest of the event, in service records with independent weather verification: a clear summary of what was done and when.

The paperwork comes with it: correct certificates of insurance and additional-insured endorsements. Coastal Corp is insured through Liberty Mutual, is a SIMA member, and is registered in Rhode Island as GC-10237.

Questions

What property managers ask

When does snow need to be hauled off-site?

When the site runs out of room, usually once the piles start taking parking you need. Until then, stacking and loader relocation keep the snow on site.

Where does the snow get stacked?

In the snow-stacking zones we map when we walk your property, before winter.

Can hauling go on the same contract as plowing?

Yes. Hauling and relocation sit in the same scope as plowing, ice management and sidewalk crews: one contract, the whole site.

How do we get a proposal for hauling?

Use the form below or call (401) 639-1622, the 24/7 storm line. We walk the property before we quote, and that walk is when the stacking zones get mapped.
